About me

I am a student at Oxford who is passionate about photography. It is a hobby I spend a great deal of time practicing. I study a broad range of subjects, looking for any composition of light, shape and form that somehow falls into place with how my eyes and mind perceive the world.

My initial focus was on wildlife and landscape photography, but has since expanded into architecture, the abstract, and of course people. Previously I have only done event photography at the request of persons familiar with my work. These events have been quite successful, so I thought I would create this website to better advertise my services.

One of my images was placed 3rd in the university wide "capture the oxford moment" competition and I have also featured in the "Intramuros" student calendar.

Equipment

I shoot with a Nikon D40 DSLR, using either a standard 18-55mm Nikkor lens, or 55-200mm telephoto lens. Also have a lightweight tripod and various other bits of jiggery pokery. I'm also looking at acquiring a new flashgun, (if anyone has any recommendations they are very welcome!) I also carry out colour touches and photo editing as standard on the best selection of photos.

Costs and availability

As this is only a hobby, and I will be a full time PhD student come October, I may not always be available at selected times, but with enough warning I should be able to plan in advance. Cost wise email to ask for a quote, but as a general guide say £35/hr + travel expenses if applicable. (For long events disregard this, just contact me and let me know your budget and dates needed.) I can provide you with a CD/DVD of all the original photos I have taken for you, along with a selection of the best images, edited and optimised to give the best possible finished product.
